An exceptional location
Eugène’s environs: the Faubourg Montmartre
Eugène didn’t choose this area by accident. It is situated in the beating heart of Paris, just a stone’s throw from a main railway station. He is fascinated by the French capital, while at the same enjoying the most scintillating opportunities it has to offer.
The Grands Boulevards are the place to be for spending an evening at the theatre. The Théâtre Trévise, Théâtre des Nouveautés, Théâtre des Variétés, the Folies Bergère and Jamel Comedy Club are devoted to both comedy and more academic performances. For a night out in grand style, the time-honoured Opera Garnier offers music and ballet lovers just what they’re looking for.
If perchance, Eugène opts for more night-owl pursuits, nightclubs like the Rex, or the more intimate Silencio are favourite night spots. To be dressed for these urbane and urban jaunts, Eugène knows that he will always find the best addresses to shop nearby. To complete his wardrobe, there are, of course, the major department stores, which he can take a pleasant stroll to, along typical, bustling Haussmannian streets.
And yet, Eugène also has his little secrets in this area: the covered passages. Passage Verdeau, with its treasure trove of vintage stores that keep boho nostalgia alive and kicking. However, Eugène often books a table in the Passage des Panoramas. A number of prominent young chefs preside here, at high-profile “bistronomic” restaurants, which offer mouthwateringly rewarding dishes. To complete the appeal of the surroundings, there are legendary brasseries and lively terraces galore in this very central area, which is perfect for taking strolls, like a true Parisian.
